My name is Brent and I'm a breadaholic.  My addiction began a little more than five years ago  when we decided to buy the stand mixer you see to the right.  At the time it was an appliance that would be handy for baking that we didn't own and it was on sale.  I was really thinking of my wife and daughter and their baking endeavors as, they will attest, the kitchen and I often kept our distance.

One day shortly after the purchase I said to my wife, "I think I'd like to learn to make bread."  There was a bit of an odd look in return but in an instant I was supported.  She was clearly happy at the prospect of my becoming more familiar with the purpose of the kitchen.

Over the years I've learned much and made a variety of breads in my own kitchen to share with my family and friends.  Toasting Bread, Sandwich Bread, French Bread, Italian Bread, Buns, Rolls, Sourdough (a category unto itself), and savory breads like focaccio, fougassi and ciabatta have been favorites all around..  It has been rewarding to share my bread, recipes and knowledge of the art and science of bread making .   I hope to continue that here.
